Truth be told, I love to write. For reasons unknown, I have not been so enamored with blogging. I aim to change that. The blogs on Tuscan Muse have so far been written primarily for SEO purposes. Those elusive Google robots love to see new content, which is the reason that blogs have proliferated across the internet. It occurred to me today that I should write the Tuscan Muse blogs, called Tuscan Musings, for heartfelt reasons and certainly not for the disdainful motive of pleasing Google's virtual police force. What a horrible motivator! Is it any wonder that my Muse has held her head in her hands whenever I write a blog entry?
Informative blogs about Tuscany have their place to be sure. However, there are better words that can be used in this blog spot, ones that express deeper truths. My Muse assures me of this and she more than approves of my newfound intention to write for the right reasons. Stories should be told not so much for the telling, but for the reader's hearing, and hopefully, appreciation.
There are so many stories that I want to impart about Tuscany. It is my personal land of enchantment and one that I wish everyone could experience. The magic of Tuscany should not be kept secret. It is far more than a travel destination. For me, it is the place that my Muse is happiest. In my estimation, Tuscany is the home of all Muses, no matter where they live at present. Your Muse may live with you in Australia, or Canada or England, but she was born in the land of the Renaissance and she loves to visit her ancestral home.
Tuscany is the place that feels most like home to me. It has been that way from the start. So many good things have happened since I first stepped foot on Tuscan soil. My time in Tuscany has been life-changing. There has been drama, pathos, extreme joy and the darkest of sorrows. I think that there are tales that bear telling. So, I begin with this blog post speaking from my heart to you the reader, rather than to those automatons at Google.
Oh wow. I do believe that my Muse is doing the happy dance, to a Tuscan tune of course!
