"Through a Tuscan Lens"
Ulrich Brodde, Instructor
October 4-14, 2014
Tuscan Muse is pleased to offer this Photography Workshop for all levels of photographers, from beginners to experts. Renowned photographer, Ulrich Brodde, will instruct and advise on the art of People and Street photography, which are among his specialties. Of course there will also be numerous possibilities to explore the breathtaking landscapes and cultural treasures including the architecture of Tuscany! The people and street scenes available for capture in Tuscany are amazing. From the urban city of Siena to the medieval villages of Sovana and Pitigliano, an array of subject matter is available. You will be immersed in a diversity of people, from the peasant farmer to the urban professional.
In this workshop you will learn how to heighten your ability to visually tell a story and to experiment with the fundamentals of photography so that the story is enhanced. Ulrich is a master of creating break through moments for photographers, showing them how to hone their skills to the next level.
Ulrich will also focus on the "art" of approaching strangers and asking to photograph them. Connecting to a different culture and preserving their way of life on film and memory cards is exciting, but it can be daunting. Participants will be encouraged to share their experiences and their methods of capturing strangers and fascinating scenes on the street, ultimately understanding what works best for them both technically and creatively.
During this photography workshop we will photograph in the cities and villages of these incredible Tuscan Jewels:
- San Gimignano
- Sant' Antimo Abbey
- The Tuscan Coast - Porto Ercole, Santa Stefano, Orbetello
- Santa Fiora
